Chalk me up as another user who feels forced to leave
Winternet to get decent service. While I wa on my
honeymoon my account was trashed so that my mail reader
won't work. People who tried to write email regarding
the wedding kept getting mail bounced from Winternet.
And last week every time I tried to use 'nn' it
core dumped.

Yes, I've written email asking for help but have not
received a response. I also wrote a snailmail
letter along with my last payment asking for information
on what happened and why. I think that since we pay for
this service we deserve information. The bottom line
for customer/client service is that you treat your
customers well. Some of the quotes from the newspaper
articles interviewing the management gave the impression
that they don't believe in customer service, and I
still gave them the benefit of the doubt until recently.

Why am I posting? Because some of the postings here have
been along the lines of: the only people leaving Winternet
belong to the Cult of Mike. And that simply isn't true.
I don't know Mike. I don't think Winternet was perfect with
Mike. But it did everything I wanted and needed. Since the
change my mail's been bouncing, I got kicked off my
favorite mailing list because of the instability of Winternet,
and I couldn't continue accessing mail and usenet newsgroups
the way I prefer. No warnings or information from the
management. No answers to my email for help. And no
discounts/refunds to all of us to make up for the horrible
service over the past month. Yes, the new staff needs a chance
to get used to the system, and catch up with everything.
But why should we pay full price for that?

I liked Winternet, and it bothers me to see it become
another newspaper disgrace. The best of luck to those of you
on the staff that still believe in making it a good place
again.
